DAY 2– Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace and seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum It contains exhibits relating to the Vietnam War and the first Indochina War involving the French colonialists.
This afternoon: Depart for Cu Chi within 1,5 hours, you’ll visit the mesmerising Cu Chi Tunnels (70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City), a fascinating network of underground tunnels that were used during the Vietnam War. Our tour guide will give you an overview introduction of Cu Chi and its legendary history. See a documentary film about the tunnels, let you understand about the tunels histories and how fierce the war was in the area. You’ll find there are more than 200 km of tunnels, comprising a central system with a main axis and many branches that connect to underground hideouts, shelters and additional tunnels. You will be guided to the tunnels system including the weapon factory, hospitals, kitchens and crawl under the tunnels…After that you can try delicious manioc which was the main food for guerilla-warriors in Cu Chi during the war as well as try to fire off an AK47 or MK16 or machine guns at the nearby shooting range. Leave Cu Chi tunnels and back Ho Chi Minh

DAY 3-This morning, we ’ll take a trip to My Tho – the heart of the famous Mekong Delta, renowned for its vast rice fields and beautiful landscapes. Within 1,5 hrs drive through rice field scenery along National Highway, you arrive My Tho city. First place to visit is a Vinh Trang pagoda, of the best-known Buddhist temple in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. Then, we take a motor-boat to enter My Tho city through Bao Dinh natural canal. Take a leisurely cruise on the Tien River to view the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands and to observe the daily life of villagers along the riverbanks. Enjoy lunch at the local restaurant, then visit coconut candy workshop and take an amazing rowing boat trip along the small canal on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals. Then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by local singers. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
